The UK has an enriched history. Although the history is pretty deep rooted that is dated back in the prehistoric region, the United Kingdom of Britain is created from the merging up of the Kingdom of Scotland with that of Kingdom of England and Wales on 1st May, 1707. This historical agreement was signed by parliament of Scotland and England under the Treaty of Union. Queen Anne was the first to rule the monarchy after this agreement. On 1st January 1801, the Kingdom of Ireland was merged with the Kingdom of Great Britain and created the United Kingdom of Great Britain. An integrated Parliament of the United Kingdom was established in place of separate Parliaments of Ireland and Great Britain. This was the outcome of centuries of historical events that include the Irish Rebellion of 1641, the attack of ruling Normans in Ireland, War of American Independence and many more. The history of 19th and 20th century has witnessed the rise of Irish nationalism among the Catholic, the Anglo-Irish War and many more. However, according to the Royal and Parliamentary Titles Act of 1927, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland was renamed and is recognized as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland respectively.
