LOCATION & WEATHER

Kyrgyzstan is a mountainous country, has a frigid temperature at most parts of the year, and if you are planning a recce to the country, then try to come down in March, April, or May as the temperatures keep on between 30 degrees in the morning to 10 degrees Celsius at night. Keep in mind to pack on thick winter clothes for the year ahead.

The location of the University is ideal, as all the major modes of transportation are readily available to any part of the city or, for that matter, to any city of the country. The University is connected by all the major roads leading to the Manas International airport. You can cover the distance by any mode of transport and will take about 51 minutes to reach.

HOW TO REACH INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF KYRGYZSTAN

The University is easily accessible through all the major routes that traverse from Bishkek and other cities of Kyrgyz. So for a domestic student, they would know how to reach the university, meanwhile, for an international student who has got admission to the university, it will be a bit difficult to manage, but with prior information, it won’t be an issue.

The Manas International airport is 34 km away from the university, and you can rely on two major routes that will help you reach directly to the university, the first being the Manas airport road which will take about 51 minutes while the second one is Manas airport road via Fuchik street which will take about 56 minutes to cover the distance. All modes of transport can be availed.

FOOD

The University is well renowned for its world-class facilities available and the overall welfare of its students. The overall expenditure on hostel and food amounts to about 1500-2000 USD per annum, which is quite reasonable. The facilities endowed are as follows:

  • Triple sharing basis for rooms.
  • The room is furnished with beds, chairs, table stands, and a cupboard.
  • The college warden provides pillows, mattresses, bedsheets.
  • Each room has a large window for easy ventilation.
  • Automated heating device for snowy winters.
  • Each floor of the hostel has a set of bathrooms and toilets with a 24×7 hot and cold water supply.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF KYRGYZSTAN

English is a major medium of instruction and is used in office work as well. The students are made to learn the native language as well.

ELIGIBILITY

If you are an Indian applicant, then these pointers need to be kept in mind before applying for the International University of Kyrgyzstan. The criteria are mostly applied to international students since intake rules are different from the origin country, but for Indian students, these conditions are applicable:

  • Must have had physics, chemistry, and biology as primary subjects in the 12th level class.
  • The aggregate for 12th level class should be 85%, and if SC/ST/OBC should be 70%.
  • The age of the applicant should be above 17 and less than 25 as of 31st December of the year of admission.
  • The NEET scorecard is a must for qualifying.
